Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
I have added Lakeshores manipulatives to have in the classroom for my students to use during independent activity time or when they are finished with an assignment early. Fidget toys are great to use for SDC students. My students can benefit from using fidget toys and manipulatives to help their social skills when working together and it will keep them occupied when their peers are working on assignments. I am a first-year teacher, therefore classroom materials are very limited. My students would benefit from using these resources in the classroom along with the cleaning supplies to keep things nice and tidy. I am planning on creating a manipulative bookshelf where students can grab toys and things at their leisure and it will help them to work toward a goal in the classroom. Currently, due to the shortage of entertainment and lack of resources in my classroom, my students are using their laptops for downtime. I would like to give them options instead of relying on playing computer games to pass the time.
