I have the pleasure of teaching one hundred and forty amazing young singers in grades eight and nine at an Upper Middle School. I want to give my students the ability to find what they are passionate about, music or otherwise. Being a part of a choir can be a great opportunity for students to feel welcome and a part of something special while they are at school.
Music can give students a reason to want to stay in school and be successful.
If I can help them to feel at home, while also teaching them various aspects of music (history, theory, vocal training, team-work, new experiences, open-mindedness, etc.) I will have accomplished what I want to as a teacher.
My Project
This item will drastically improve my student's experience in choir. With it, we will be able to record and listen to our rehearsals with high quality sound. They will be able to self-assess and fix errors for our concerts. We will be able to make recordings of our concerts to send to family members as a way to always remember these moments.
