Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students are leaders and innovators. They try their best every day and put first things first!

My students are at an age where their minds are growing by the minute, and they are so eager to learn every day.

They love hands-on activities! I encourage them to read daily and they are constantly challenging themselves. They love to learn from each other. They are active learners and love engaging activities.

My Project

This year I would like to focus on health and wellness. I would like to take Valentine's Day to teach my students how to keep their body and mind healthy.

I would like to get a model of the heart, stress balls, and a book of mindfulness activities.

I will teach my students the importance of keeping their mind and bodies healthy. I would love to help them understand how to persevere and stay in a positive space even when life gives us challenges. I also want to update our class mini garden into a wellness garden with succulent plants that each student can take care of. I plan to teach my students how to participate in activities like that are positive for the mind and body, along with a Valentine Kindness celebration with bags and stickers to decorate. I am hopeful that all of these health and wellness activities encourage my students to put their health first.
