My Students

I work in a rural public school in southwestern Michigan. Students at my school are eager to learn and come to school excited each day. Many of my students come from low socioeconomic status homes. They struggle to get the supplies necessary to make learning easier for them. I believe my students should have access to all the tools they need so that nothing gets in the way of their success.

My Project

These headphones will help students hear their Chromebooks as they work. They use websites that read books to them that they would otherwise not be able to read. They also make music on great apps that let their creativity shine in a new and different way.

Having the ability to plug in headphones can help some students who struggle with sensory overload.

Headphones can block out the classroom noise and help them focus on their tasks.

My students are more engaged and less distracted when they hear only their own Chromebooks.
