My Students

Our classroom is focused on building a culture of community, kindness and high quality work. I have 24 wonderful students who are eager to learn and will be immersed in a Project Based Learning Environment. They are very kind and like to socialize and create projects together. This group of students is mixed with a lot of dynamic personalities, interests and ability levels. My students come from a variety of backgrounds and each bring unique experiences to our classroom.

We are a second year charter school that is still working on implementing a strong PBL culture that emphasizes community involvement, student collaboration, and real world skills.

My Project

Our charter school uses a PBL model and the students will be exposed to many types of learning mediums. Students will be accessing multi-media resources and creating short videos that require the use of headphones and microphones. The microphones will also help when students want to practice their presentations for critique and review by their peers. These headphones will allow my students the ability to explore various digital resources while not distracting their classmates. In addition, they will help students stay focused when there is additional stimuli in the classroom that may be disruptive to the learning environment around them.
