This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Hello donors! My students are amazing. Many of them are newcomers and they are simultaneously learning 3 languages. Many of them are the first in their family to go to school. My students are extremely hard working and they value their education. My school is a low income, Title I school in Oakland, with 100% of our families qualifying for free lunch. With increasing budget cuts my students don't always have all of the resources available to help them succeed in school.

My Project

My students are so amazing and bright. Distance learning has been tough for our little ones! They need headphones so they can focus on their teacher. My students live in households where there are multiple children or adults at home while class takes place. My students are already dealing with so much that I want to make sure they do not miss out or get distracted from their learning. I have already had class with them and I have seen them in class with their home teacher and they definitely could benefit from having a more focused learning environment. These headphones would provide the with more of a structured and focused learning environment at home.
