This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

The best way to get our young readers interested and excited about books is to provide a way for them to read books at or above their grade level. We have access to so many audiobooks yet we lack the ability to provide a way for kids to listen to books in the class because of a lack of headphones.

We love seeing our students read and make gains with their reading abilities.

However, many of our students wish to read books that are above their reading level. Audiobooks and eBooks make it possible for this to happen. The only thing in our way is the lack of access to headphones.

The acquisition of these high quality headphones will make access to listening to books so much easier for our students. They love listening to a good book read aloud. With these headphones all students in a class can use apps like Hooplah, Epic Books and Destiny to enjoy these read alouds during their library time, intervention time or anytime during this school day!
