Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

This year filled with growth, responsibility, and big transitions as students prepare to become more independent. The spaces students move through each day influence their mindset and emotional health. When students see welcoming visuals and uplifting messages, it reassures them that they are valued members of our school community.

We plan to design a cohesive classroom with positive affirmations, growth mindset reminders, and inclusive displays that celebrate every learner.

Creating this environment will not only brighten our school but also strengthen students’ confidence and sense of security. A supportive setting helps reduce stress, promote kindness, and encourage students to take academic risks. Having recess supplies to help my students with help them also learn how to play and interact with others.

Having recess tools such as bubbles, balls, puzzles, and a tote bag to hold them is important for my students to have. Also, having water bottles will help my students drink water when we are outside, as well as, in the classroom. My students would benefit from having tools and resources in our classroom to help my students be more successful and help their overall mental health and well being.
