Help me give my students the opportunity to experience healthy snacks for good behavior. Also this will provide the opportunity for me and other teachers to have snacks available when they students are hungry.

My Project

My students are amazing! They come with tenacity, creativity, and a wide variety of experiences and gifts. We work hard every day as scholars, artists, critical thinkers, and friends. Together we imagine new possibilities for our community, our country, and the world.

At our school, 100% of students qualify for free or reduced-price lunch, and 98% of the students are students of color.

Healthy snacks will increase learning abilities in the classroom throughout the day. The snacks can boost their energy level for learning. Snacks enable the students to become more engaged in classroom activities. The snacks can help students to grow and develop more skills in the classroom. The snacks can help promote less behavior problems. The snacks can help keep the students alert. A healthy snack can help encourage concentration and re-energize tired students. Snack breaks can help students perform better on tests. In addition, these healthy snacks will encourage and teach by example what healthy eating choices look like and how to eat more frequently in smaller portions.
