I teach in kindergarten to 23 wonderful students in a public Title I school in Northern California.
The students have this spark of curiosity, are enthusiastic, creative, and come to school ready to learn each day.
They love to play and explore all that school has to offer each day. They are amazing people who just want to learn and be with their friends.
The school I teach at was built in 1936 as a W.P.A. project. In the 1950s, it had 11 classrooms and was teaching over 550 pupils. Some classes had over 50 students, and many lessons were being taught in the halls. The school's mission is to provide a safe, positive environment in which individual students have the opportunity to meet their full potential academically, socially, emotionally, and creatively.
My Project
Help bring in healthy snacks for my class to have during the school week. Every day I provide snacks for the students and seek donations (or buy them myself) to make this happen. This class is full of growing children who need snacks to help them continue learning in class. We have been learning how to make healthy choices in class, and being able to provide them with snacks can help them focus and learn in class.
Please consider donating snacks for our class, you will be helping make sure those tummies are full for the rest of the school year!
