With the Tonies box and a variety of books, my students have a new, engaging way to interact with literature. They eagerly visit the Tonies center every day, excited to listen to their favorite stories. This tool has allowed my students to independently practice pre-reading skills like listening, following along with the text, and retelling stories. It's been especially gratifying to hear them excitedly discuss plot details and characters with their peers, reinforcing both their comprehension and social skills.\r\n\r\nFor my English learner students, the Tonies box has been particularly beneficial. They've been able to listen to stories multiple times, which has significantly boosted their understanding of the language and helped them make connections to the books we read together in class. I've also been able to record my voice, adding a personal touch that helps my students feel more connected to the content. This resource has not only enhanced their listening skills but also supported their growing English proficiency in a fun, interactive way. Thanks to your generous donations, our little readers are truly flourishing, and I am so grateful for the opportunity to see them grow in this supportive learning environment.","fullyFundedDate":1755727392865,"projectUrl":"project/building-a-21st-century-listening-center/9463055/","projectTitle":"Building a 21st Century Listening Center with Tonies!","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. DeFranco","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp6411342_orig.jpg?crop=2736,2736,x462,y0&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1564702239027","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/6411342"},{"teacherId":1529661,"projectId":8732411,"letterContent":"Thank you so much for your generosity and kindness. My students are having a blast using the new materials. They especially love the brain flakes (which you see pictured) to keep their hands busy and their minds open to new big ideas especially during math centers. Another added, and unexpected bonus is that the students are using these tools to work together and creative some pretty amazing things. They are so proud that they are the ones who actually insisted on taking pictures! \r\n When we unpacked the fidgets there were so many \"oohhs\" and \"ahhhs.\" It was quite exciting! We have used the fidgets, kickbands, and seat cushions to make a quiet corner in our classroom. Students use our quiet corner daily when they just need a mental break or a moment to reset. It was been such a blessing to be able to make that space kid-friendly, calming, and welcoming. \r\n Our next step is to keep working on strategies for staying calm and focused during class. We will continue to use our new tools daily to help us succeed!","fullyFundedDate":1735050810936,"projectUrl":"project/calm-hands-open-minds/8732411/","projectTitle":"Calm Hands.
