This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I have an incredible group of students. They come from all walks of life.

They represent the spectrum of the entire cultural rainbow.

Unfortunately, they come from the poorest congressional district in the United States of America. They do not let this fact bring them down. They work exceptionally hard because they understand the value of education. They understand that education is their ticket to a better life for themselves and their families. I am so proud to be their teacher.

My Project

Having healthy snack bars in my classroom to give to hungry students can make a world of difference in student focus, concentration, mood, and overall well being. Many students come to school hungry. They have responsibilities at home and often do not have time to eat breakfast. I want to have healthy snacks to give to students to help them alleviate the hunger. They can then work to their full potential instead of feeling the pains of hunger. A healthy snack can make a healthy student. Healthy snacks will provide healthy life essentials.

Hungry students cannot focus on their classwork.

A healthy snack can help alleviate the hunger pains and allow students to concentrate on their schoolwork and life essentials. A fed student is a happy student.
