Healthy Snacks for Happy Kids

Help me give my students healthy snacks to keep them full throughout the school day.

My Project

Some of my students get to school late and miss breakfast or don't like the cafeteria food at lunchtime.

I would like to offer them a healthy snack when this happens with chips, cookies, granola bars, lollipops and more.

Students go through an eight hour day with one break for lunch at an early hour beginning at 10:30 AM. The whole afternoon looms ahead and their tummies start rumbling. By the time they come to Specials, they are hungry. Having a basket of snacks will be a great incentive to keep them working while they munch.

On some afternoons, we offer afterschool clubs that meet and the students are really ready for a snack at that time. In my room, there is a Treasure Box used as a behavior incentive. Keeping that filled with Jolly Ranchers, a lollipop or a granola bar can go a long way in keeping a child happy.
