Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Students

We are one big, happy family. Our Title I school is home to a large population (92%) of English language learners. My students face many challenges while living in a new country and attempting to learn a new language.

My three classes are filled with 75 eager students who love working together to complete various tasks.

My goal is to make their transition as smooth as possible in hopes of preparing them for great achievement. They are capable of greatness and will achieve.

My Project

Our county has placed a focus on healthy snacks for students instead of junk food to promote healthy students and a healthy school.

This project will help my students stay healthy and focused on their goals by preventing illnesses with wiping our areas down with the Clorox wipes and storing away items on the shelves and storage containers to keep sanitary items out of reach.

My classroom will become a healthy and safe place for students by providing an organized classroom and healthy snacks throughout the school year to keep their brains sharp. We also need a popcorn machine to make air-popped popcorn as a healthy snack that students will enjoy without the guilt of eating something that adds no nutritional value.
