Help me give my students oral swabs for cleaning mouths, sanitizing wipes and spray for keeping our classroom clean, and other items to keep our classroom healthy!
This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Project
We have requested a variety of items, including cleaning supplies, oral health items, straws, and other health care materials. These are all vital tools in nurturing a thriving learning environment for our special learners. By keeping the classroom clean, we ensure a safe and comfortable space where students can focus on their studies without distractions. Oral health items play a crucial role in our efforts to work on oral hygiene with students who may be orally defensive, promoting better oral care practices and overall well-being. Straws are particularly essential for those with specific oral sensitivities, enabling them to comfortably stay hydrated throughout the day. Things like liquid bandage, thermometers, and more help us handle minor issues within the classroom, allowing learning to continue.
Our students are incredibly special because they embody resilience, determination, and a profound eagerness to learn despite facing various disabilities and unique needs.
Each day, they demonstrate remarkable strength and courage as they navigate challenges, both inside and outside the classroom. Despite their differences, they come together as a community, supporting and uplifting one another. Their unwavering dedication to learning is truly inspiring and serves as a testament to their exceptional spirit and character.
Our primary goals revolve around fostering healthier habits and environments for our students. By incorporating these items into our classroom, we aim to achieve healthier mouths and reduce oral health issues among our special learners. Additionally, maintaining a cleaner classroom not only promotes physical health but also creates a more organized and conducive space for learning. Ultimately, we aspire to decrease the number of sick days among our students, thereby maximizing their time in the classroom and enhancing their educational outcomes.
