Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My students are a diverse group of curious, hardworking learners who thrive when they feel safe and prepared. Many come from families where providing extra school supplies can be a financial burden, but their enthusiasm for learning never wavers. They deserve a classroom environment that is not only welcoming but also clean and fully stocked with the tools they need to succeed both in school and at home.

Reduces Absenteeism: Regular sanitizing of high-touch surfaces like desks and shared materials helps prevent the spread of germs, keeping students healthy and in the classroom.

Deepens Learning: Research shows that students who work on paper often perform better on assessments, as the tactile interaction of writing and drawing helps with memory retention and critical thinking.

Levels the Playing Field: Providing paper ensures all students can complete their homework regardless of their access to technology or high-speed internet at home.

Encourages Creativity: Plain white paper allows students to brainstorm, create visual notes, and demonstrate their understanding in multiple ways.

My goal is to remove the barriers to learning by ensuring no student has to worry about a lack of paper for an assignment or an untidy desk. Your support will help us create a "sparkling" environment where my students can truly flourish.
