My Students

These students attend school in the hopes of bettering their situation.

Despite the constant changes and challenges these young adults face, they always have a moment to spend asking about my day, what I need help with, how they can assist me.

This school becomes the students' home, where they place their trust, their security, their goals. Their strength is astounding, and we, as educators, owe these students the best we can provide to assist them towards success.

While many individuals are afforded the opportunity to attend plays or play musical instruments, here it is up to us, the educators, to give these students an opportunity to be involved in their enhancements of the arts.

My Project

Our school has a high poverty rate among the students. Because of this, the students often go without basic necessities, such as shampoo, soap, toothbrushes, toothpaste, and even feminine products.

In order for our students to be successful at school, they need to have a sense of value.

That value begins with basic cleanliness.

Our students want to take care of themselves to the best of their ability; however, to assist our students stay clean and healthy, we often need to provide these items for the students to take home. This is not a simple request, but a need we must provide.
