Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Our project is aimed at promoting healthy eating habits and supporting the learning experience in our classroom for students that have arrived to Miami. We are seeking your help to acquire a Vitamix blender and essential tools that will enhance our students' understanding of nutrition, creativity, and teamwork.

Our students will be so excited to see this project happen and will also learn food safety and preparation along with gaining some job skills and new tools in their daily living.

Such community-based initiatives foster a deeper appreciation of the subject and teach students the value of collaboration towards a common goal. Moreover, it's an excellent opportunity to instill the virtue of sharing with others.

Our students will see how food is grown with our hydroponics tower garden and then transferred onto their plate where they get to eat and drink their creations. They can make different types of smoothies with the Vitamix blenders after they plant and harvest leafy greens, peppers and strawberries. The ice machine is to make ice-cream with the sweet fruit. Our entire school community will be able to take part in this project.
