Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My students chant out loud every day to remind themselves that they are the champions in learning. The sparks for learning start in the hearts of these little children in kindergarten.
My students are bilingual learners in Korean English Dual Language program. More than half of them are ELD learners, and they need effective educational aids and supplies to support their learning and continue to grow as champions. Having access to new learning materials that meet their needs in second language acquisition will broaden their young minds and assist them in becoming the successful learners they hope to be when they shout out, "I'm a champ!"
My Project
One of the reasons why my Kindergarten students are happy to be at school this year is because they love to interact with their peers in person. For that reason, I would like to provide more physical education opportunities to develop their interpersonal skills such as teamwork, leadership, and positive peer relationship.
Students can show their best abilities when their body is healthy and strong.
P.E. lessons with the new equipments will not only strengthen students' physical fitness, but also support students' social emotional learning and other academic areas via active engagement and collaboration with others.
