My Project

My students come to school everyday ready and eager to learn. Their classroom should have excellent air quality which makes their classroom feel clean and comfortable. Our school is located in a high poverty area region; therefore most of the schools in our county are very outdated. With continous budget cuts year after year, unfortunately no new schools will be built. Our air quality systems are very outdated, often requiring repairs year after year. In the southeast, we experience very hot and humid summers. The excess humidity in our classroom causes our classroom to feel damp and smell musky. This can contribute to mold, mildew, and often increases the presence of allergens. This leads to our classroom feeling uncomfortable. A dehumidifier would make our classroom a healthy learning environment.
