My Project

I strive for my history classroom to be a welcoming, comfortable, and safe environment for students to learn. Many students come to class with their minds on their physical needs, making it hard to concentrate on learning. Over the years I've been purchasing more items to have on hand for when students come to me with needs.

My goal is to have a Care Closet to provide personal hygiene items, health items and snacks.

Students can practice self-care by getting items they need when they come to class, increasing their capacity to learn.

This project will directly impact historically underfunded classrooms.
