Help me give my students headsets to enhance their required speaking and listening skill development while creating rich opportunities for meaningful project-based learning experiences.

My Students

I teach in a diverse area where every student who walks through my classroom door come from a wide variety of experiences, interests, and backgrounds. Despite a wide range of student learning gaps, they are all talented, unique individuals who inspire me every day.

These resilient students have ridden a truly challenging learning roller coaster throughout the past year and a half.

They just need stability and resources to engage them in education again.

My Project

Our 7th grade English students have always needed to enhance their speaking and listening skills, and our classroom technology for individual audio has not always matched their needs. We eventually want to use these for enhanced project-based learning experiences, allowing students to add audio to projects and engage in meaningful experiences like creating podcasts and practicing reading fluency.

Due to the learning gaps created by the pandemic, what is truly needed as of right now is headsets as a resource for students to stay on pace with their peers.

As student absenteeism continues to be problematic, these headsets would allow students the flexibility to watch teacher-created video lessons and other supportive resources at their own pace and allow students to have a head start catching back up and engaging in grade-level learning.
