I teach at a Title I school in Nevada. Part of being a Title I school is that our students are usually from lower income families. This does not stop the students at our school from learning. This does not change the expectation for them to learn either.
My students make their best efforts to come to school and learn.
We are also very fortunate to have a community of families that will take any resources possible to help their children achieve.
Our school uses one to one with our Chromebooks. When we are talking a class of 25 plus students, it can get really loud. This project will give each student access to headphones so that they can clearly hear lesson that they do on I-Ready, Xtra Math, Rocket Spelling and Front Row. These lessons help to close learning gaps that my students may have and help them achieve during classroom instruction. Having headphones for each student will also allow us to use them to input video and music during project based learning. We will also use the headphones with text to speech on state assessments for certain students.
