My students reside in a community where dreams are endless, and the possibilities are attainable with motivation and support. Ninety-five percent of our students qualify to receive free breakfast and lunch. Over half of our student population consists of minorities and many of the families have been hit by the pandemic, which has greatly affected the families income and their lives overall. All of my students are diverse learners who come from various backgrounds but have one goal, and that is to succeed despite the odds and statistics against them. Your help will make a difference in their lives for years to come.
My Project
These headphones will allow my students to have the resources to hear their assigned lessons with clarity and safely. With each student being assigned their own set of headphones, this will minimize the exchange of resources in a time where COVID-19 is rampant.
My students come from a diverse socio-economic background and don't always have the necessities such as headphones and other supplies needed to be successful in completing their assignments.
Over 90% of my students have special needs and would benefit from having the necessary tools everyday.
Many of the students are unable to complete their assignments because they don't have the proper items to complete them.
Lastly the whiteboards will allow me a quick and easy way to check every individual's understanding of the lesson taught at the same time. This will allow me to design quick and effective small group instruction and catch my lower learners to keep them engaged with their learning so they do not become frustrated. Both of these items will help me to nurture a positive learning experience for all my students and a love of learning. This will allow them to thrive and take their learning to the next level.
