My Students
My students are eager to learn new things everyday. They love to use technology to enhance their knowledge about topics in the real world. As many of my students were impacted by Hurricane Irma and Maria, it is important for my students to be able to utilize and access technology to ensure their academic success as they have limited availability to technology at home.
We are a Title 1 elementary school with 300+ students.
All students receive free breakfast and/or lunch. We are a proactive school with several before and after school tutoring and community outreach programs. Our students' families struggle financially, but our school community is dedicated to helping our parents provide for their children.
The educators and support staff are amazing in their dedication and determination to make a difference in the lives of our students. Our school goal is to give each student the best education and the best support possible at all times. We are determined to succeed in our mission and we will not let our students down!
My Project
My students are in desperate need of new headphones to use with our technology. We currently have 2 pairs of our own that are broken with ear pieces falling off. We have to borrow from other classes if they are not being used. This prohibits us from enjoying and utilizing our technology to the best of our ability.
Having these headphones will add to our ability to focus on our computer learning centers and to concentrate more of our time to get our lessons completed.
Privacy partitions will also allow us to stay focused to achieve our goals in our learning centers. Students will be able to get right to work and focus on the academic material at hand, and not whether their materials are going to work or not.
