Using technology in the classroom is a must in today's world in order for children to be competitive in future endeavors. In my classroom we have limited access to technology. We share one working tablet and students aren't able to complete research and assignments that require internet access. Many of my students were affected by Hurricane Irma and some are displaced from their homes. With limited access to internet at home my students are unable to utilize necessary math and reading programs to help build their skills. The classroom is the only place for them to come and have access to this critical information. Having tablets in the classroom will make a world of difference in their learning.
