Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Students

I love coming to school and spending my days with a room full of energetic fourth grade math and science students!

Keeping them engaged in their learning is key to preparing them for the future.

My students come with a wide range of backgrounds and experiences. Some are several years behind and have a desire to catch up, others are pushing the boundaries of what we are learning and are yearning for more. Every day is an adventure in our classroom!

My Project

Technology has become part of the everyday life of a student. We use computers and headphones in our classroom daily. Many of the resources that we use are individualized to each student, including videos and interactive activities.

It is important that students have headphones that will allow them to hear and engage with these resources so that they are able to get the most out of these individualized learning opportunities.

Daily use by multiple students is hard on our headphones. Many of our headphones simply wear out and stop working and we are left with not enough to go around. I would love to provide my students with a class set of quality headphones that will withstand the wear and tear that comes with daily use by busy fourth graders.
