This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My class is filled with very inquisitive first graders! They love to explore, learn, and be creative. Our school is a Title I school with lots of military children. Many of the students get free lunch because they fall in the financial range that is eligible for it.

The children are ready to learn and excited for learning.

We have some wonderful students at our school. Teachers here encourage growth and learning in a very caring and supportive way. My students love learning.

My Project

Getting headphones for my students would help them learn at their full capacity. It is very distracting to hear everyone's netbook reading a story while they are trying to hear their own. We do a lot of online learning from reading comprehension, phonics, math, history, and science. For these little 1st graders their full concentration is vital to learning. Every Tuesday we have a special day the kids love. It is device day. We take the devices out for the day and after I teach a lesson, their independent practice is done on the devices. They get so excited for Tuesdays! These headphones will help at least half of the class have working, usable headphones which will also lower the noise in our class.
