It has been so wonderful to start the year with the tools we need to succeed in math!\r\n\r\nOne of the biggest benefits from this project has been how easy our transitions into math have become. We have a 4th and 5th grade combo, so students deploy to 4 different spaces for math. It has been so easy to just grab our math pouches and head out!\r\n\r\nAlso, our computer cart has never looked so organized! Computers have been easy to access, charge, and use! Plus, we don't have cords dangling everywhere!\r\n\r\nOur classroom has really been optimized because of your support for this project. My students and I could not wait to sit in the fresh, new bean bags. My students were so excited when we received the boxes! The days were counting down, and I began to doubt if this proposal would receive enough support to earn full funding. This is so incredible! Words cannot describe what we are feeling.\r\n\r\nI have been telling my students that I would purchase the bean bags after the holidays since our current bags are in bad condition to use regularly when they need to read, refocus or relax. The students do not complain, but I know that the bags are not in the best condition after years of use.\r\n\r\nMany of my students have parents that serve in our military, and these students deal with a lot throughout the school year especially when their parents are deployed. Many of my students use these bags sometimes during lunch break just to sit and be social with other students when out on the playground they are a little apprehensive when approaching other students.\r\n\r\nWe once again would like to say thank you so much for your kindness and contribution to our classroom. We have seriously enjoyed having the materials to organize and make the most of our classroom. My students LOVE having a safe place in the classroom to store their things. We have been able to use more of our space and practice flexibility in our room. \r\n\r\nOne of my favorite things since adding these organizational systems in our class is how willing students are to work in the spot that works best for them. One of my students' needs vary day by day based on their home life. He is able to choose a spot that reflects his daily needs in order to start his school day off well. He can take control over the first part of his day and take the momentum through the rest of the day. \r\n\r\nI am so grateful for your support of public education. Students were also able to partner read with younger students as well what they have to look forward to. In addition, our insect unit has them excited to learn/examine insects outside. The magnifying glass is easy and large enough for students to see clearly.\r\n\r\nWe are using the insect kit inside to have them look for patterns and create wondering charts to further their scientific research.
