Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

The headphones donated to our class will help support students with their independent reading practice and testing. Most of my headphones are old and are of poor quality. My students get easily distracted with the other broken headphones, especially when they ear pieces are missing the foam, or when the tape holding them together sticks to their hair. It is also hard for my students to concentrate because I do not have enough for all of them, so their is a lot of noise form other computers. The waste of instructional time is endless due to the poor quality of the headphones we have.

I just know that having new, high performance headphones will excite my students to use the computers to practice their reading, and when they are testing.

I also have Multilingual students in my class as well as Special Education students, and they headphones with the microphones will allow them to complete assignments where they can use the speech to text option.
