This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students love learning and work hard at it. Unfortunately, often times I do not have materials that would best suit my students' needs. They are a very active bunch and learn best when able to interact with the material kinesthetically.

I'm trying to bring my classroom into the 21st century and keep it student centered!

However, there are still 20th century items that we must have, like notebooks. Most of my students come to school without even a backpack, so I need to provide basic supplies for them so that they can learn.

My Project

On our supply list was headphones or earbuds. Only a few of my students actually brought in headphones or earbuds. This item is a must for our classroom teaching techniques.

We use headphones or earbuds every time we use computers.

We use computers for multiple programs in our school. We use Lexia for reading and phonics, Khan Academy for math, Prodigy for math, Studies Weekly for social studies, and many more.

It is hard to focus on what you are doing if you hear your neighbors computer. Thus, I am asking for headphones so that the distraction level will be reduced.
