My Students

Every day, 29 bright, creative and excited 3rd graders show up in my classroom. They come in ready to learn and be present. However, in this Title 1 rural school, they also come in filled with barriers that don't always allow them to be ready.

Everyday, I show up to tackle each of these barriers.

However, as we know these barriers don't easily crumble. These kids deserve a classroom where their challenges feel small, where they have the tools and supplies to do their best.

My Project

As we continue to use technology each day, my students need access to headphone to use! We use headphones during small group instruction, to hear a story being read, or to help us keep sound out and our focus on our work.

There are so many uses for headphones in the classroom.

All students benefit from not only seeing the words on the screen but hearing the words as well. Without headphones, some struggling readers would not be able to understand the task.

Currently, we only have enough headphones for some students. These headphones would allow for more students to access the information.
