Help me give my students individual headphones for their use in our classroom.

My Students

I teach Kindergarten at a Title I school in a rural area. My students come from diverse backgrounds, with several students being English Language Learners. Covid-19 has greatly impacted our area, with many of our Kindergarten students not having had any pre-school. They enjoy school and are willing to work hard.

My Project

We have iPads in our classroom and programs and apps for the students to use. It would be so nice to have enough headphones for each student to use, without having to sanitize in between each use. These programs allow students to work at an individual pace, challenging students at their own academic level, since we have such a variety of academic abilities.

Having a pair of headphones to use while in class would provide less distractions and a more sanitary option to prevent sharing germs and Covid.

This group of students came into Kindergarten well below grade because pre-school wasn't offered due to Covid. The headphones will allow them to work at their own pace on the iPads at their personal academic level.

This project will directly impact historically underfunded classrooms.
