My fourth-grade students are so alive! For good or bad, they care deeply about almost everything that happens at school, and ambivalence is rare.
Whether it's joy or anxiety, my students have an emotional intensity that can only be met with a consistent, relaxed, and light-hearted approach to teaching.
Many of my students have learning challenges and are not performing at grade level. Some have learning gaps that inhibit their success.
My goal is to reach each and every one of my students’ needs on a daily basis by providing them with engaging, rigorous, and meaningful lessons and activities.
I use a variety of multimedia presentations in my classroom to help my students learn and retain information.
Not every student learns in the same way and many students, who are used to using computers and watching television, learn better when using presentations in class or working individually with computer lessons.
To help them hear the audio when they are working on a lesson, school headphones are the perfect solution. Using school headphones will help keep students from being distracted if those around them are talking or if there are noises coming from outside the classroom. Distractions make it difficult to concentrate, but using headphones help students keep their attention on the presentation.
