My students need dependable headphones to use when they are independently learning on computer devices and iPads. They also need a safe and organized place to store the headphones.
This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
I teach in a Title 1 school. I teach 23-second graders this year and I can already tell they have such a desire to learn! They are a busy bunch and they strive daily to be the best that they can be! Most of my students don't have the supplies to push their learning to the next level. These students LOVE to stay active in the classroom while they are exploring and learning new things. They are the reason I show up for work every single day.
My Project
I teach in a Title 1 School where I utilize a lot of technology and digital content to reinforce skills taught in the classroom. My students love to use technology at school! The students have time to access digital learning content during small groups, partner work, and centers. As you can imagine, it can get very loud and distracting! My students would greatly benefit from a class set of headphones as well as an organizer to keep the headphones in good shape. Having a class set of headphones for my students will allow me to meet the needs of my students as I can provide a video or voice over to re-teach students in a small group setting or students can work individually at their own pace to enhance their learning. Hooray for headphones for Homan!
