My Students
Students in our school are full of energy and eager to show their individuality. They are continually exploring new ways to show their learning. Students have very diverse backgrounds but come together as a community that supports and accepts one another.
Each of my math classes consists of 30-35 students at varying levels of math competency.
Students have different abilities and learn in different ways. Some are eager to do activities and projects to learn a concept. Others like to use computers to watch instructional videos and practice skills. We try to support them all so they can achieve their best.
My Project
Our students learn and practice math in different ways. Teachers provide instruction on basic concepts and then students can use the computer to watch lessons again, practice or complete assignments. There is often an audio component to these tasks.
Not all students own their own headphones so providing a school headphone set will help to give the same opportunity for learning for all students.
Students will be able to use these headphones to view videos on a variety of digital websites assigned by the teacher as well as other resources they may find on their own. The internet has a wealth of information that students need guided practice in accessing, headphones will broaden the types of resources they can access.
