Students at our school may not ever have the opportunity to go to a deluxe movie theatre with their families. This field trip to see a current movie with their classmates will be a day to remember. This will be a great way to celebrate the end of their first year in middle school. The students will start with a math project. Students will check the menu at the movie theatre which offers more than your average theatre. It is more like a restaurant with many options. Students will create a budget, perhaps with a friend and determine their costs including tax and how much money they need to bring. They have already begun saving for their snacks.
