My students love to be engaged in their learning. They are creative and have a unique personality all their own.
Using technology in the classroom will help my students be prepared for real-world experiences.
They already have 1 to 1 Chromebooks and are used daily to research topics and reinforce skills taught through academic sites and gameplay. I want to instill a love of reading to my kids at an early age the will last a lifetime.
They are urban, inner-city kids who have faced many challenges in their life but every day work hard and strive to reach their full potential. All the students in my school receive free or reduced-price breakfast and lunch. There are times when I must provide their basic needs such as food, socks, and many other items that they simply don't have. I do not want all those other issues to hinder their education and self-worth.
My students will be able to listen and use learning websites with the use of the headphones provided in this project.
They will be able to research topics for reading and writing class and not have to worry about the volume of those around them.
Small groups will also be able to work on assignments around the classroom and learning will be individualized for each student.
The students are excited to read, research, and type in class with the use of the headphones for many different upcoming projects in the 5th-grade class. Thank you for considering to donate to my project.
