Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My students are newcomers to America hailing from three different continents and numerous countries. My goal is to get them understanding and responding in English as quickly as possible.

These headsets allow my students to record their own voices and play them back so that they can hear the progress they are making towards becoming fluent English speakers.

Additionally, by utilizing software that both reads aloud to students and scrolls the words on the screen, students are learning to separate out the different phonemes of English into decipherable words. These headsets will allow students to not only listen to fluent English, but also upload recordings of themselves reading aloud passages and answering prompts.
