it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My students are incredible! They are about to start their third year in the Spanish language immersion program. They are resilient and hardworking. Each student is finding their way through the trauma this pandemic caused in their lives and trying their best to get an education while living in a low-income area.
With less funding this year than ever before I am finding it increasingly difficult to find all of the materials the students need in the classroom so that they can feel successful.
My Project
Overcoming the trauma of the last year and a half had not been easy. But through it all, these children have been learning to master their new normal which requires digital literacy. Having working headphones for each student would be a tremendous help to aid them on this journey.
We are in desperate need of having reliable headphones in the classroom.
We are currently down to only 10 pairs of working headphones, with 27 students in my class at a time. Being in dual immersion requires them to share materials with the other class, but it is hard to share when we do not have enough to begin with. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
