Headphones for All!

My students need durable, high-quality headphones to use with classroom iPads.

My Students

My students are energetic 6 and 7 year olds who love using the iPads in my 1:1 classroom to extend their learning. We are a Title 1 school whose population includes 65% low income and 25% students with disabilities.

Many of my students are living in households that find it difficult to provide even basic school supplies and the financial drain of purchasing quality headphones to optimize learning when using technology can be overwhelming.

My students come from diverse backgrounds but they all share a natural curiosity and eagerness for learning.

My Project

My students will be using these quality headphones when working independently on their iPads. The headphones will help to provide a quiet learning environment in which each student will be able to stay focused on their differentiated learning activities without being distracted by others.

Using the microphone will allow my students to record and listen to themselves reading and help them increase their accuracy, rate and expression.

In addition, this technology will help students with disabilities and emerging English language learners by giving them the audio support needed. These headphones will enhance the technology rich learning environment I am striving to create in my classroom.
