Headphones + Folders = Happy Students

Help me give my students 2 plastic folders for their school work and a set of headphones so they can listen to our zoom meetings without the background noise that is going on around them.

My Students

I teach in a very small district that has a high poverty rate, 100% of my students receive a free breakfast and lunch. My students are excited learners from a low-income area. I am an instructional coach and work with a lot of our students who need more hands-on opportunities to make learning meaningful.

This year has been a real struggle for students as they move between Face to Face and Virtual learning, and my students have needed more from me than ever before .

While the students I work with can struggle to learn content, they are hard workers who preserve through difficult times and try hard to complete their schoolwork.

Our school is a small community school that is always looking for ways to help our students get the resources they need. My goal has been to engage every student in lessons that get them talking and exploring the world around them. Several of my students have extra challenges in their lives as they cope with becoming independent learners. I want to give them all an extra boost. This can't happen without the help of people like you.

My Project

My Kindergarten students are currently working from home and spending about 3 hours or longer on zoom sessions every day. Several of them are working at the YMCA, daycare or even at a home with other siblings who are zooming at the same time. These students need a pair of headphones so they can lock out the noise around them and hear what is being said during lessons.

Sound is the first distraction you can help us eliminate, and the second is organization of learning materials.

The two pocket folders will allow my students to keep their math and reading materials together. This will save them the time of trying to find their work or missing the writing paper that I sent home.

I have 25 students who will benefit from headphones and pocket folders and they need your help to get these materials. Please consider donating to this project.
