Mrs. Taylor from Cincinnati OH is requesting computers & tablets through DonorsChoose, the most trusted classroom funding site for teachers.
My students need headphones for their station work and I'd like to start integrating the use of one of our school iPad's which is why I'm requesting the locking stand.

Our neighborhood school has been around for quite some time, but has gone through many changes. We have become a STEM school this year and have moved towards gender-based classrooms.
As an ELA teacher, my main focus is literacy across all subjects and I want to continuously reinforce that mentality.
I have a classroom library where the students can check out books. There is a special library chair and multiple pillows for our DEAR (Drop Everything And Read) time also. This library covers a range of book types - historical fiction, biographical, historical non-fiction, fantasy, mystery, horror, TV/Movie released items, classics, sports theme, children's books, poetry, drama, graphic novels and comics, and more!
Our students are on free and reduced lunches, come from low-income families, foster families, or one-parent families. I do my best to meet all their needs within my personal means, but I can't always accommodate what my classroom needs.
Often times we are using our laptops in stations with online content that needs headphones. Whether it's videos of lessons and notes or movie clips to compare our theme to our in-class readings, they are almost always in need of headphones. I recently received a set of 10 of these headphones and the students were extremely blessed by them - but I have more than 10 students, and a few with IEP's that like to use it for reading digitally, so I'm in need of more of these headphones.
These items will continue to bring technology into the classroom to meet my students in a digital world.
I have requested an iPad for full usage in my classroom, but would like a locking stand for it's safety. I planned to utilize it for my library check-in and check-out process as well as individual reward time.
