Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Students

My classroom consist of 22 bright and funny students. I have 11 girls and 11 boys. My students come to school everyday eager and ready to learn. Within my classroom I have 5 students who have been identified with some type of learning disability. Those students are in the mainstream of the general education classroom. They are all creative and have their own way of bringing learning to life in our classroom. My students enjoy literacy and math stations. When in stations my students have assignments that are differentiated and some of their assignments are on their laptops.

My Project

The use of the headphones will be very beneficial because every student will have their own headphones to complete their assignments in a timely manner. The use of the desk bags will be great for storage, because all the students would have to do is turn around and get their headphones out of the desk bag without leaving their seats. The use of headphones is a way to differentiate student learning. Students do not have to worry about what others are doing on their laptops, they can totally concentrate on what is in front of them. Using headphones is a way to block out all noises and will make it easier for students to concentrate especially my students with learning disabilities.
