This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Project

Hello there! I am Ms. H. and I call my class the Honey Bees! This project is focused on social emotional learning and improving how the students feel in my classroom! It is so important to make sure every child feels loved and cared for while receiving a quality education! The items chosen are to help students stay motivated and develop a strong sense of social emotional learning! Please consider donating to help me make my classroom a safe and welcoming place! The biggest item included is the centerpiece of the vending machine. This is going to be our daily social emotional starter. Students sometimes struggle to talk about how they are feeling. The vending machine will allow me to fill the containers with activities and questions to get my students feeling comfortable and open. On the other two sides we will put in fidget toys students may get to help them stay focused during the day. It will cycle so the students aren’t taking them like toys but tools to help them learn and be socially and emotionally regulated! The headphones will be for the students who do not have functional headphones. The skeleton will be for the human body unit I teach each fall. Having basic classroom supplies and work for my students allows me to be the best teacher possible to give these students everything they need to grow! Please help the Honey Bees get what they need!
