Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My students are eager to learn and willing to try, but they have the odds stacked against them to succeed. Your generous support can help my students be successful.
I am a fourth-grade teacher in a low-income urban area in New Jersey and more than 90% of my students receive free or reduced-price lunch.
My students cannot afford to purchase the necessary supplies for the classroom. I have general education students, as well as students learning the English Language in my classroom.
Our school is in an urban area. Many of my students are reading at 2-3 grade levels below 4th grade. Despite these challenges, the climate of our school is nurturing and sets high expectations for all students.
My Project
I am always looking for ways to enhance and increase student engagement in my classroom, so that all of my students have the opportunity to be heard and get the opportunity to voice their thoughts and WANT to participate. With this Qball throwable, wireless microphone my students will be eager to participate and share their thoughts and ideas with the class.
This tool will be especially useful for those students that have difficulty hearing, or those students that have great ideas, but are more shy about sharing them.
The requested Qball will also be a great way for students to read aloud and share their writing. With the Qball, students will be eager to participate and share what they know and deepen their understanding of the content.
