My Project

As a teacher in a low-income school district, I recognize that my students are faced with challenges both inside and outside of the classroom. Despite the many challenges they face, I am looking to encourage their learning experiences in the classroom.

Fifth graders are still fun, fabulous, and fantastic!

Learning is what we are all about. Our 5th graders are eager to learn but face challenges with remaining focused without appropriate movement. The connection and happiness as students learn are​ thrilling to see as a teacher. Our little learning Hornets are top-notch students and are embracing the rigorous tasks set before them.

We would like new stable ball seats to accent our learning center. We could use chairs or stools that we already have, but feel that new seats would help cultivate even deeper thinking while learning.

Ball seating is known to promote higher thinking by requiring students to maintain their posture while sitting comfortably.

Flexible seating is common in classrooms. We see the benefits daily in our classroom and would like to expand our options. Seating is important in a classroom, and I want our students to walk in and feel that this place is best suited for their learning!
