This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
In our low-income, high poverty school district, my students are faced with several challenges both in and out of the classroom. Because of the many challenges they face, I am looking to help my students stay motivated and have fun learning.
My students enjoy coming to school each day.
They love learning and researching new things. They just need the tools that will help them achieve these goals. Our students range from visual to tactile learners. They work best with color-coded charts showing them each step of the way.
My Project
New York City is super cold during the winter. Last week it was only 14 degrees! I want all of my students to stay warm and healthy during these winter season. My students need to stay safe, especially with COVID still around.
I am asking for gloves, hats and scarfs to give to each one of my students to ensure they stay warm on the way to school.
The hats can make their head and ears stay warm in the cold. The gloves will keep their hands warm so can have fun and play in the snow. Finally, the scarfs will keep their necks and face warm from the frigid cold wind.
