Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I am requesting an incubator and baby chick supplies. We have some eager second grade students ready to experience this miracle. The students will then have class pets until the chickens are ready to be outside. We have an amazing community and staff members that are willing to keep our chickens once we incubate them. My goal for this project is for the students to see the chicks hatch and grow within the first few weeks of their life. Plenty of our students have pet chickens in their yards for meat and eggs and I feel its going to be a great learning experience to see how they hatch.
