My Project

In my kindergarten classroom, I aspire to cultivate a love for language and reading by prioritizing phonemic awareness. Phonemic awareness is a vital skill that lays the groundwork for reading and writing proficiency. It involves the ability to identify and manipulate individual sounds within words, paving the way for future literacy success. Through interactive and engaging activities, we want to make learning enjoyable and accessible for every student. By strengthening these foundational skills, we aim to set our students on a path towards confident and proficient reading. To bring our vision to life, we are seeking funding to acquire resources and materials that will enhance our phonemic awareness curriculum. In addition to traditional resources, we also plan to purchase a Teachers Pay Teachers gift card. This will allow access to a vast array of high-quality phonics resources created by dedicated educators on the TPT platform. The flexibility of a TPT gift card will empower our teachers to select materials that best suit the diverse needs of our students. By supporting this project, you are investing in the foundational skills that will empower these young learners to become proficient readers. The benefits extend beyond the classroom, as strong phonemic awareness sets the stage for lifelong learning and academic success.
